New York New York 10011/ telephone 212-229-4730
Open Monday-Saturday, 11am-8pm, Sunday, noon-6pm

This cheerful French textiles boutique offers in-house customization for all of its colorful confections, so you can order place mats ($14), dish towels ($18) and tote bags ($58) in a kaleidoscope of shades. If you’re crafty, purchase their fabrics, (most of which are stain-and water-resistant) by the yard and whip up something of your own design. – from Time Out New York

Dane and I stumbled on this store this afternoon, while walking to the C train. I immediately recognized it because about two years ago, I bought a Mina Perhonen "egg" bag made from Les Toiles du Soleil fabric (weird, I know), from the Mina Perhonen shop in Tokyo. I have never been in the actual store, and had no idea that one existed in New York — how was this hidden from me, I wonder?! — but now I am super excited to go back and bedeck my entire life in fabric from this shop.
